ThrownZone Terms of Service

Last updated: 7 September 2026

These are a draft. They were written to be clear and to describe accurately what ThrownZone actually does. They are not legal advice and they have not been reviewed by a lawyer. Have one read them, and the Privacy Policy, before you open the game to the public — particularly the sections on eligibility, prizes and the handling of personal data, which are the ones that vary most by where your players live.

1. What ThrownZone is

ThrownZone is a free online game about collecting digital player cards and entering fantasy football contests with them. It is a standalone product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the National Football League, the NFL Players Association, any club, any player, or any other fantasy sports operator.

2. There is no money in ThrownZone

This is the most important thing on this page, so it is near the top.

Because nothing of value is staked and nothing of value is won, contests in ThrownZone are not gambling and are not a real-money fantasy sports service.

3. Who can play

You must be 18 or older to create an account. We ask for your date of birth when you sign up and check it. We do not keep it — we keep only the fact that your account met the age requirement, and when we checked.

You may hold one account. Creating more than one — to take the starting credit grant repeatedly, to enter a contest more than once, or to trade with yourself — is a breach of these terms.

You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your password to yourself. Tell us if you think somebody else has it; there is a "sign out everywhere" control in the app that ends every session and forces every device to sign in again.

4. Your account and your name

Choose a display name that you would be comfortable seeing on a public leaderboard. It is visible to other players. We may change or remove a display name that impersonates somebody, is offensive, or is chosen to mislead.

You can stop playing at any time. Ask us to delete your account and we will delete it, subject to section 9.

5. Cards, packs and the marketplace

6. Contests

7. Fair play

Do not:

We may suspend an account we reasonably believe is breaking these rules, and we will look at the evidence before we do. We will not permanently close an account automatically. Living in the same house, sharing a network, or playing at the same time as somebody else is not evidence of anything, and we will not treat it as such.

If we suspend your account, we will tell you why and you can reply. If we have got it wrong, we will put it right.

8. What we do not promise

ThrownZone is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it running, keep the statistics accurate and keep the ledger correct, but we do not promise that the game will be uninterrupted, that live statistics will always be timely, or that the game will never contain a bug.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited. Because ThrownZone costs nothing and pays nothing, there is no financial loss to compensate — but this section does not take away rights the law gives you where you live.

9. Ending an account

You can close your account at any time. We may close or suspend an account that breaks these terms.

When an account is closed, its cards, credits and contest history stop being available in the game. We keep the underlying transaction records — the ledger — because they are the record of what happened in a shared economy and other players' balances depend on them. Those records are not used to identify you afterwards, and the Privacy Policy explains what is kept and for how long.

10. Changes to these terms

We will post a new version here and update the date at the top. If a change matters, we will ask you to accept it the next time you sign in rather than assume you have read it.
