THROWNZONE / HOW THROWNZONE WORKS

How ThrownZone Works

ThrownZone is a fantasy football game where you own your players. Instead of drafting a team once in August, you collect player cards, build a new lineup from them every week, and enter contests scored on real NFL stats. Win, and you earn credits and packs that grow your collection. It is free to play and there is no real money anywhere in it: credits cannot be bought and cannot be cashed out.

The loop in one sentence

Collect cards → build a lineup → enter a contest → score on live stats → win credits and packs → collect better cards. Everything else in the game is detail on one of those steps.

1. Start with a free collection

Every new account starts with the same footing, before spending anything:

What you getAmount
Signup credits5,000 credits
Starter pack5 Core cards dealt as a playable lineup (QB, RB, WR, TE, DEF)
Kickoff Packs4 packs of 5 cards, each with a Rare-or-better card guaranteed
Daily login+100 credits every day you claim it

That is 25 cards and 5,000 credits on day one, enough for plenty of entries. Core contests cost roughly 10 to 80 credits, and every week there is a Free Roll with no entry fee at all.

2. Build a lineup from cards you own

A Classic lineup is five cards from one slate of games (Sunday early, afternoon, primetime, or the whole weekend). A Showdown is four cards from a single game, one of them your Captain at 1.5×. The lineup builder checks every rule before the Enter button lights up, so you can't submit an illegal lineup by accident.

Your cards score exactly like season-long fantasy: full PPR, points for yards and touchdowns, bonuses for 100-yard and 300-yard games. A defensive card scores its club's whole defense. See how player cards work →

3. Rarity opens the room, not the scoreboard

Cards come in five rarities (Core, Rare, Elite, Legend and Hall of Fame), plus a 1-of-1 Gold version of every player. Rarity decides which contests you can enter. It never changes how many points a card scores. A Core Josh Allen and a Hall of Fame Josh Allen score the same on Sunday. Higher tiers simply mean smaller fields and bigger prize pools. 4. Scores move live, then settle

Points update live during the games and can move up or down as the official stats are corrected. Entries close five minutes before kickoff, enforced by the server, for everyone. Each contest settles two hours after its last game goes final, and credits, packs and tickets post automatically. Your cards unlock the moment it settles.

5. Trade on the marketplace

Every card is a real, numbered object: Jahmyr Gibbs, Core, 127 / 600 is one specific card with its own history. You can list cards on The Book, ThrownZone's marketplace, at a public asking price, or buy the exact card you need to reach the next tier. See how the marketplace works →

Fair by design

Pack rolls, serial numbers, entries, scoring and every credit movement happen on ThrownZone's servers, not in your browser, and every card and credit is written to an append-only ledger. Pack odds are printed on every pack. Staff can't create cards, change serials or alter a result.

Who it's for

  • Season-long players who want something to do every week, not just on draft day.
  • Daily fantasy players who like building lineups but not paying entry fees.
  • Card collectors who want their collection to actually do something on Sunday.
