THROWNZONE / THE BOOK: THROWNZONE'S CARD MARKETPLACE

The Book: ThrownZone's Card Marketplace

The Book is ThrownZone's marketplace, where players buy and sell fantasy football cards for credits. Every card has one public asking price. The buyer pays it and the card moves, with its serial number and history intact. It's how you get the exact card you need to reach the next contest tier, or turn spare cards into credits for packs and entries.

How buying and selling works

  • Listing is free. Set your price and your card goes on The Book.
  • Selling costs 5% of the price (minimum 1 credit). That fee is burned: it's removed from the game, not paid to anyone.
  • Buying is final. You get the exact card you saw, at the price you saw.
  • No bidding, no private swaps. One public price per listing keeps every card's history readable.
  • A listed card stays in your collection but can't be played while it's for sale. Cancel the listing and it plays again.
  • A card locked into an open contest can't be listed until that contest settles.

A trade never changes a card

Buy Jahmyr Gibbs, Core, 127 / 600 and you receive that exact card: same serial, same mint date, one more line in its history. A trade never creates a card and never changes a serial. The only way a card enters the game is by being opened from a pack.

Prices are real

Market data on ThrownZone is derived from real trades, never set by the house. A card's price, history, volume and floor are all calculated from completed sales and open listings. A card that has never traded simply has no price yet. You can filter The Book by player, position, team, rarity, price, or by serial number directly, useful when you're hunting a low number to win tiebreaks.

What sets a card's value

1. Production: how many fantasy points the player actually scores. 2. Rarity: Elite cards open contests Core cards can't, and there are twenty times fewer of them. 3. Serial: the lowest serial in a lineup breaks ties, and collectors chase low numbers.

The in-game Research center plots price against production for every player, and the Value board ranks the market by expected value.

Credits, not cash

Everything on The Book is priced in credits. Credits can't be bought with money and can't be cashed out. New credits enter the game only through the signup grant, the daily login and contest winnings, and they leave through the 15% contest rake and the 5% seller fee. That closed loop is what keeps prices meaningful. Learn where credits come from →
