Why it exists. Measured against 400 simulated starter collections, every one of them can field a legal lineup here — against 93% for a standard Classic five and 9% for the All Defense board. If you opened your Starter pack and nothing else, this is a contest you can enter today.
What it pays. Twenty-five entries pays one winner two Core Packs. A hundred pays four winners, eight packs between them. Five hundred pays twenty winners and forty packs. Roughly the top four per cent take something at any size, and a small field still pays somebody.
The rules that still apply. Every card must be Core or better and must be on one of the 28 clubs playing this weekend — the contest page lists them all with their marks. A lineup carries at most one Superstar, as every Core contest does, no player appears twice, and no two defenses come from the same club.
A Core Pack is five cards: four Core and a hit slot with a one-in-two shot at a Rare. A pack you win costs nothing to open, and it does not count against anything you are given.
