Certain players are Superstars, and a lineup may only hold so many. It exists so a 20,000-seat Core field is not the same five names.

Certain players are designated Superstars, and a lineup may only hold so many:

It exists for one reason: to stop every Core lineup in a 20,000-seat field from being the same five names. The builder enforces it before Enter lights up — so the fourth-best Superstar you own is worth more than it looks, and a Core lineup built around one star and four value cards is the shape the whole tier rewards.
