WHAT 20 ENTRIES AT 50 CR ACTUALLY PAYS
Entries in: 1,000 cr. The 15% rake comes off, leaving 850. Half the field is paid, and every paid place gets its entry back first.
Entries in: 1,000 cr. The 15% rake comes off, leaving a pool of 850 cr. A Tournament pays the top half of the field — ten places on twenty entries. Every paid place gets its entry back first; what is left climbs the published curve, so first is paid more than second in the same proportion whatever the size of the field.
| Place | Pays |
|---|---|
| 1st | 165 cr + a Core PLUS pack |
| 2nd | 116 cr |
| 3rd | 91 cr |
| 4th – 10th | 68 cr each |
That is 848 of the 850 — the rounding always goes down, never over. Everyone from 11th down gets their cards back, unlocked, ready for the next contest. A contest with fewer than two entries at lock is refunded in full.
A Double Up pays the top half a flat 1.8× the fee instead; Winner Takes All and Head-to-Head pay first place only; a Prize Pack Party pays PLUS packs by finishing band rather than credits.
CORRECTION — an earlier version of this dispatch said a Tournament pays the top 20% of the field, four places on twenty. The live rule is the top half. The table above is what the server pays.
